The food of each state

It's not completely valid, but for the most part is ok. I personally have never had our state food, but I see how they got it.

If the earth stood still

The ocean water would migrate to the poles, and one huge continent would stretch like a belt all along the equator. The article is here. It's alright, but not the best to me because they seemed to say the same thing a few times.

Real names

Places are named things that mean something (or nothing). This map and series of links shows us maps of what the names really mean, or are speculated to mean.

Europe without Germany.

Was?! Europe ohne Deutchland?

Hier

It's interesting to think about. It's also interesting how the names of the bordering countries are the same, like Leipzig (German) to Lipsik (Polish). Germany has been where a lot of history happened. Martin Luther began the Protestant Reformation there. It used to be the Prussian empire too. Charlemagne lived in Magdeburg in the 9th century. And of course Germany played a huge role in WWII and shaping Europe like we know it today.

History. What's odd is that my eyes aren't glazing over.
