The way you feel the warmth on one side, the side facing the sun. In contrast, there's that warmth on one side, and a lack of warmth on the other side! It must be what it feels like to be bread in a toaster. It feels so amazing when you're cold, or emerging from a building where the air-conditioning was turned up high.

I used to sunbathe, but I don't anymore. Now my exposure is when I walk the dogs or go walk on lunch break. You need sunlight for vitamin D, because vitamin D facilitates absorption of calcium. So I usually eat breakfast like milk or yogurt, then make sure to go for walks later so my body absorbs the calcium to the best of its ability.

I think I'd sunbathe more if I lived in a place like this, wow!

Animals enjoy the sensation as well! My dogs also sleep in sunbeams.

My cats do that to. Find sunbeams and just collapses in a black heap of fur in it. :-) I suck at sunbathing to. I don't like it, quite simply. :-P And when I take walks I tend to go in the shadows. I like it when the sun shines on me in the spring after a looooooong winter with nearly no sun at all, but come summer I just find it to hot, you know? :-)
