Yay, so I'm doing some homework and keeping an eye on the MTViggy livestream for 2NE1, who are in New York right now! So far, I'm really impressed with CL's lovely english and clever, perfect answers to the few questions the host has asked her. :D So excited for their performance later!
A band from Venezuela performed, and their interesting gimmick is being splattered with multicolored paint right before showtime. Their song/s didn't impress me, except the one guitar player who grabbed some drumsticks and played on the cowbell and woodblock every now and again. They themselves are charming, I loved their interview.
There was an insane screaming 2ne1 fan who ended every screamed statement with a loud "WHAT?!" And then she'd get a really self-satisfied look on her face. She was funny.
They talked about Zowie from NZ, who looks cool. Yuna from Malaysia sounds so lovely, and I love her fashion. The interview guy got her name wrong. Luna? Sporfle. And then Gyptian performed, and the audience was so not into it. The dj guy made me laugh at him, lame-o.
Lol Jeremy Scott's hair. XD It's really cool to see the fans of 2NE1, and to see the segment about kpop and why it's awesome and taking the world by storm.
AND THEN, 2NE1! They walked down some stairs and the intro to "I am the best" kept playing on repeat, and it was getting annoying. The girls drank some water. The music faded out and finally the girls CAME ONSTAGE AND AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
CL did a fierce intro to "Fire" and there was steam shooting out of the stage. They looked good in red, black, and gold accents. BOM! :D Minzy's hair looked lank like a wilted plant. Dara's hair is always weird. I SAW BOM'S BUTT OMG Short skirt is short. She also has flab around her armpits, which is really weird. She was really pitchy. >_o Dara sang oddly well.
And then, Can't Nobody! Which had a really cool intro. ....Why didn't they perform this in English? The whole crowd started jumping!
CL talked and it was sweet~ Then they performed Lonely. <3 Minzy's voice was so amazing~ Bom's stance on stage was pained and stiff when she wasn't singing. Wonder why. And her eyes were all wide and open and unblinking and I THINK BOM'S A ROBOT. CL's voice was oddly soulful.
AND THEN I AM THE BEST!!!!! So much energy! The crowd even chanted like the Asian crowds do! Yay the dance and YAY YAY YAYI saw Bom's bra! It was black. She was all out of breath. Dara always sings so quietly. YAY MINZY! Work it, girl. NAEGA JEIL JAL NAGA YAY!!! CL's voice is so powerful. Minzy's is the most polished and controlled. .....Billion dollar baby, chanted the crowd. Bom's voice was all over the place--what' new? AHH THE LAST PART OF THE DANCE NONONONO NANANANA Break it down, girls!!! :D Bom punched the air. AAHH IT'S ENDING. OMG. Is this the end?
The guy came to talk onstage. The crowd wouldn't calm down. Then those fans came and crowned the girls. Confetti. The confetti literally blocked the cameras and you couldn't see much. CL didn't put her crown on, but the other 3 did. YAY 2NE1 in NY THEY DID SO GOOD OK SORRY FOR SCREAMING I AM JUST EXCITED! <3 CL was walking around and blowing kisses to fans OMG LOVE HER
