1. Where did you begin 2011?
In a chair watching TH Monsoon MV like I've done since 2008
2. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
Went to grad school
3. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Yes, and yes.
4. Were you in school (anytime this year)?
Yes.
5. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My aunt
6. Any new additions to your family?
My cousin
7. Did anyone close to you die?
No
8. Did you know anybody who got married?
No. A lot of people got engaged, though.
9. What countries did you visit?
None other than my own
10. How did you earn your money?
Waitressing, serving ice cream at Dairy Queen; then happily quitting those jobs to work as a graduate assistant to a couple of professors.
11. Where did most of your money go?
School and gas
12. Did you have any encounters with the police?
No
13. What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
A life. Really, my life is always just school stuff or online stuff. Maybe more things than that, hopefully?
14. What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
What date? Probably the day I got my acceptance letter into grad school, but I can't remember the exact date. One I can remember was October 6th, the day I got my GA position at the school. It was so unexpected and my boss literally walked around the building to find me in my own little workspace to tell me and to give me paperwork to fill out. It was unexpected to see her, and to think that she went around asking for me and looking for me! I was so giddy to get the job because having a GA position means most of my tuition is wavered. I reduced my huge-ass school loans to be quite smaller. YAY!!! I'm not gonna be in crippling debt! That was such a happy day.
15. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Probably surviving the first year of grad school and GETTING ALL A'S, FYEAH

Crashing my car
17. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not really (thankfully; see above)

A. Happier or sadder?
Happier. This time last year I had submitted my applications to grad schools and my stomach was curdling with worry.

Thinner
C. Richer or poorer?
Around the same. Probably poorer, because I hadn't taken out any student loans before this year.
27. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Make more music, write more. Write in my diary more, it's so handy to have so I can look back. Like right now, I want to use it to look back.
28. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Homework. On a less serious note; peeing. I'm so sick of peeing. It's an inconvenience.
29. How did you spend Christmas?
My family opened gifts and hung out all day. We watched Ponyo and had delicious vegeterian it"alien" dinner with eggplant lasagna, among other dishes. I began to play Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword.
30. What did you want for Christmas?
Skyward Sword and a skin for the keyboard of my laptop
31. Where are you spending New Year's? and with who?
With my family. We probably won't do anything special. I will watch TH Monsoon MV as I've mentioned.

To my online friends, yes. But love love, no.

Battle Royale by Koushun Takami was amazing. Also tons of fic, amazing amazing fic.

Probably watching that Big Bang Love and Hope Japan concert 2011 video I posted about a week or so ago. That was amazing, I so wish I could see them live. Maybe MBLAQ and U-Kiss too, I've really come to love them.
38. What did you want and get?
I wanted to get into the grad school I wanted and I did. Are you starting to notice a theme, here?

The Harry Potter one
40. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 21 and I don't remember what I did.
41. What would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Sex Being in a relationship. Nah, who am I kidding? Honestly, I don't want a relationship right now, nor do I need one or pine for one. I just want the sex, to have someone there to have fun with and to hold for a night. -_-; I feel like this makes me a shallow person but I swear I'm not. Also, living closer to the university would be nice.
42. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011?
I went out and bought khakis and dress shoes for working in the clinic, along with the provided clinic polo. I was kinda proud to wear it, because not everybody got into this grad school but I did. I have a future in what I'm doing, and I'm on my way to achieving it.

Music, TH, my dogs, my brother
44. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Bill
45. What concerts/shows did you go to?
My friend's concert. He's the singer and guitarist in his band.

SOPA, TSA, Rick Perry's tv spot
48. What has been your favorite moment?
Going hiking and reaching the top of the mountain. 7 mile hike? Pwned. That was so cool, and so pretty. The air is different up there. That, and going down slides with my family at the City Museum in St. Louis.

All the people online! Zeph, Kirsten, Rachael, Emily, Talya, Kit, Torrie, Billstache on twitter...and more, especially as the year's been wrapping up. I like meeting all these new awesome people.

I am defined by who I am, not by the relationships I have with other people. I'm a person, I'm myself first, and I always need to view myself in this way or else I will lose my self-identity and experience internal crises.
55. What's something you learned about yourself?
I can do things. I can achieve things I didn't think I could, especially if I stick with them and persevere.

It's a great book! It's the same idea as the Hunger Games (put people on an island, make them fight/kill each other). I read the first HG but BR was so much meatier! BR was deep and amazing, terrifying, touching, and totally blew HG out of the water in terms of plot, character development, and gore. There's so much gore. I remember screaming in disbelief during the last few chapters. I couldn't believe the plot twist! So good.
Thank you! I'm so glad to have gotten in, if you couldn't tell. It became an obsession that I'm not yet quite over.
