The Kaulitz twins:
Tom likes driving fast
Bill's been in an accident
They went skydiving
Bill has multiple facial piercings and hand and neck tattoos
Tom has a facial piercing and a hand tattoo, too
Tom hit a girl
Their very career choice isn't guaranteed to be successful
They both smoke
They've both done drugs
We assume Tom has had a lot of sex
We assume they've partied a lot and gotten drunk a lot

I've been thinking about risk-taking versus cautious behavior lately. But then again, there's a lot of ways that the twins are "balanced" people, whatever you can define "normal" and "balanced" as. "Non risk-seeking," maybe.

Just thinking. Don't mind me.

I thought of you immediately when I read this article about the life span of a singer's voice. Two of the worst things a vocalist can do? Smoking and drinking alcohol. x)

I know nothing about balanced people, so I can't help you there. Very interesting thoughts you think, my dear.

Biogel, wtffff!!! It would add mass to the vocal cords, but the elasticity. Wouldn't the elasticity be lost? It would take an adjustment period for sure, too. Wtfffff SO emailing that to my speech science teacher. That's the class in which we learned about the larynx and the frequencies and harmonics and resonance~ Love that stuff. I really like the larynx stuff.

Bill has not treated his voice well. The smoking and the vocal strain were the worst. And thusly, his voice has changed. He sounds different on the Humanoid record than on Zimmer or Scream.

Balanced? What's balanced? Compared to what? XD Behavioral definitions can be tricky. And here, I listed these things but some could be attributed to the situation, and be only one-time things.

I know nothing about this stuff, but the biogel idea made my knees weak. I'm sure I would feel differently if I were a singer and it could save my career, but in the meantime, eurgh.

I can't see it being used with singers (it would be like inserting gel into the biceps of a weightlifter -- causing more problems than benefits) but I can see it used for people who have vocal cord deterioration for whatever reason. For when the tissue just starts wasting away. That happens sometimes.

Is thusly a word? It looks funny if you stare at it too long. @_@

Carry on.

The dictionary informs me thusly is indeed a word.

You're so cute! I'm just gonna poke you in the belly *pokepoke* 'cause that's what I do to Chloe when she's just too adorable! (This may or may not contribute to her constant desire to bite me.) (You may bite me if you feel violated also.)

I love you too. Thusly, I will welcome these belly pokes. I won't bite unless you want me to.

Dude, the bruise from Chester biting me last week is now shaped like a seahorse. :D

At least you can turn your pain and suffering into art of a seahorse? Your poor leg! That was one nasty bruise. I would offer to kiss it, but that might be too forward. I'll go back to belly pokes. Thanks for putting up with my possible sexual harassment. :3

I love you!

:D Positive spin! The last bruise I got looked like a t-rex. I penned the outline of it and showed my mom, and she facepalmed.

You can kiss it. Seahorses probably like kisses. Marshmallows like kisses. :3

*smooch* *smooch* *smoooooooooch*

Hope your leg gets better soon, darling.

AWW you made it tingle~

I'm thinking about taking a picture of it because it really does look like a seahorse. It's neat.

I think you should definitely take a picture of it! And post it! :3 *smooch* Hope it gets better soon!

It will get better speedily with all the kisses you're lavishing on it. :3 You're making my seahorse's tail kick out in excitement.

I agree with you! Tom especially has taken risks, absolutely displayed risk taking behavior. Even the Viagra overdose is part of that repetoir. Bill too, but some of the things he's done seem more planned or accidental, like the tattoos and the accident (even if that accident probably was due to a lifestyle that wasn't very balanced -- no sleep, no food, too much worry). They somehow come across as looking for kicks, pretty fearless, bordering on risk taking.

Yeah! You brought up their environment, and being in the music business is naturally not a vary balanced, risk-free lifestyle. It's high stakes, and about money, and fame, and scandals...So them just being your average thrill-seekers but in that environment makes them seem like borderline risk-taking.

Tom hitting Perinne or whatsername was a result of a certain situation though, not a risk taken, at least in my brain. Totally agree with everything else. I think it's important to draw the line between ~living die sekunde~ and being careless and they haven't always done that, which makes sense, considering their age back then. I do admire them for that behavior though. I'm too scared to do practically anything out of the box and I wish I was more like them.

I did debate putting the hitting on there, but he did hit her. He was probably afraid and panicked. And then he ran away. But then again, a lot of people would lash out and flee in that situation! I don't know.

If they're not risk-takers, they're definitely thrill-seekers.
