I sometimes wonder at a few of my professors and their awful powerpoints. They may have distracting animated motions that fling the bullet points on and off screen, clip art (see this video "Clip art makes everything sh*t" for further explanation), color combinations that are in bad taste, animations that are supposed to be funny and liven things up but are really just stupid, and loading the slide with more text than how much food I load my plate with at a Chinese buffet.
So I challenged myself mildly to see how bad of a slideshow I could make. Here is my creation.
I've concluded that even compared to this, two of my professors still have really, really crappy slideshows. The majority have wonderful, efficient, effective slideshows that greatly facilitate learning. Bless their hearts.

One of my teacher makes the most plain and boring slideshows and it's not helping when he's teaching the most boring stuff either .___.
Looks like you had fun though XDD

I did have fun! This was the most fun I've ever had with a slideshow to be honest. XD Although like I said, props to some of my profs because their slides rock.

My fave slides are the ones that are sheets of text that you can't read either on the screen or on the printout. Because of my slight ADHD (that I am sure I have) I tend to want to sleep or write slash while looking at slideshows -- so full-written slides are good, because then I can take the magnifying glass out later and read it all there on the slide, and learn it all anyway. With well-done slides, there is so much information missing! Haha!

Wow, you're my opposite in the text-filled slides respect! Those are awful to me, I just got home from a class like that. The slides were crammed with tiny text and the teacher literally just read them aloud and contributed no new information. Heck, if she's just reading them aloud, I might as well not go to class and read them to myself! For me, I have to have some information missing on the slides-- that makes me pay attention to the lecture! You're right though, going over them later with a magnifying glass is good. You never have to actually read the textbook when slides are like that.
