30/100: Sleeping dogs

I like dogs when they're awake too, but they are precious when sleeping. They're warm and fuzzy, and you can stare at them without them making a big deal of it. They dream and make little kicks and whimper-barks. Sometimes you can even poke them and pet them and they won't wake up.

There's something really tranquil about a sleeping dog. There is that phrase, "Let sleeping dogs lie." Sometimes I don't have the heart to wake up my adorable sleeping dogs, like if they're in my bed or on the couch where I want to sit. That phrase is very true.





Chester! Chester is my short stumpy grumpy geezer love muffin and he dreams a lot. He also snores. His snoring wakes me up but I don't mind because it's very cute. Chester is a very light sleeper. Sometimes he cuddles up next to my body when it's cold out, but most of the time he keeps to himself.

In the following video, Chester is dreaming. I think he looks possessed.

Lucas! Lucas loves sleeping and you can poke him. Sometimes I paint his nails while he's sleeping. He's a pretty heavy sleeper. He either stretches out all over, or curls up into the tiniest balls. Lucas never snuggles. He's an attention hog so snuggling with him makes him wake up and want attention. Sometimes he sleeps in the strangest positions; draped over pillows, his head on an armrest, buried under pillows somehow... He's so incredibly cute when he sleeps.

I love my dogs, and I love them when they are adorably sleepy too. Plus, they're not annoying! XD

Aww, thank you! They are my precious babies and best friends all in one. Chester in particular. <3 I do try to make them always happy -- but it's an easy task, because it's easy to make a dog happy!

I'm not so sure it's easy to make a dog happy... you people who know dogs say so... but you are dog-people and skilled at such things! I believe it's hard, but the right people know how to do it.

I think the temperament of the dog helps too! My dogs are laid back and pretty postitive. It makes them easy to please. Lucas is happy if I just look at him. I don't even have to smile, and it makes his tail wag. <3

You have the most adorable dogs in the world! They are just so sweet and loving to you! Your little old geezer is so mellow -- I just wanna hug him! I don't think Lucas would put up with much hugging, but I'll just feed him treats! ♥

I'm so lucky to have my loving puppies! Both of them are mellow, but too much attention makes Lucas hyper so you have to be ready to handle that.

You also have to be ready for greedy Chester to intimidate nervous Lucas and steal Lucas' treat! I always have to distract Chester if I want to give Lucas a treat.

Sleeping dogs... or sleeping cats, I say. :-) Or babies. I think small creatures over all are cute par default when they sleep. ;-)
