This is what I did all day today! I missed making music so much, so making this was fun! I made some music yesterday too, another song that was a gift to someone very close to my heart. <3

Today's song is in Italian! It's called Dolce Follia, by the Spanish group La Oreja De Van Gogh. They are my favorite group in the world. (Sorry, Tokio Hotel! :P)

That's me singing and playing the piano! I used minimal effects -- just some reverb and frequency enhancement on the vocals.

Listen to it here!

The lyrics are so beautiful. She's singing about selling everything she owns -- front row seats to an unforgettable concert, the melody to a song she wrote, the script for a movie she wants to make, a camera full of photos she took of places she's visited, all of her memories, all her stories, everything she has.

She's selling everything to pay off some unnamed life debt so she can see her loved one again, because she can't live "without his/her sun, moon, and sweet insanity." She only sees her loved one in dreams anymore, dreams in which she chases his/her ghost and never catches it. "The memory of your embrace is like the fleeting touch of moonlight on this roof, this roof I want to throw myself off of because I can't live without your sun, your moon, your sweet insanity." The song ends about her going on one last chase from which she will never return.

It tells such a beautiful, sad story, and the song is beautiful too!

That does sound like a really sad story... Probably with a sick and sad ending... since she is hunting her loved ones insanity... *has read to many dark stories* Very beautiful song.

My mind walks down the same dark paths as yours does.

This is just another example of why you're my favorite musician in the whole wide world. This is positively ... gorgeous doesn't even describe it. I love the piano music so much because it's very touching, and your beautiful voice is just haunting. The lyrics, wow, that's a powerful story. You have such an expressive voice even in a language I don't understand. It's very sad and yet strangely uplifting at the same time, like the writer is content with her choice and ready to face whatever comes. You are so talented to be able to interpret it like that!

And my song is AMAZING! (I'm listening to it again right now...) You fill my heart and life with such love and joy! I can't tell you how much you mean to me! ♥♥♥

Wow, what an honor! *bows, blushes* I'm really undeserving of that honor! I love your analysis of my piano and voice! They're really pretty together, if I say so myself. Lately, I've been tapping into this ethereal prettiness with my music and I like the direction it's going. It helps to visualize, like I described to you! Glass vases filled with white lilies and the like.

The lyrics are why I love La Oreja De Van Gogh, among other reasons. Nothing else has ever come close to the depth in their lyrics. I'm so glad I learned Spanish so I could have them in my life. They're so important to me. There's so much more, so much morreeeeeeee than what I can describe! It's so amazingly beautiful.

I like how it can be interpreted as however, like kseenaa saw a sad ending and you saw one that is more hopeful and uplifting in some way. I also made this song in English but I should re-record that before sharing... my first try was sloppy. :D

IT'S A DUCK <3<3 I loved making it for you! It makes me so happy that I fill your heart and life with such happy feelings! Any day I make you happy is a wonderful day. <3 (and p.s. Zaaack I see you there looking dashing and SOLDIER-y. :3)
