Something that's rocking the kpop world right now are stalkers who obsessively follow the superstars of the group JYJ. First, there was a recording of JYJ cussing out the stalkers and even hitting them. JYJ was blacklisted for this, pretty much. "How could they do such a thing?!"

But then more was released, like a photo of a JYJ member in a restaurant, and the windows behind full of girls plastered to the windows. A story about how these girls hire taxis to intentionally crash into JYJ's vehicles. A video of one girl caressing a JYJ member's cheek, then slapping it with all her might. The shock on his face. JYJ saying they've been stalked for years.

Hello to kpop

I was first introduced to k-pop in Spring 2009, I think. I've been hooked ever since. This was the first video and song I heard. It was recommended by an online friend of mine who shared my interest in jpop which stemmed from our interest in anime. So this... this is another level that most certainly wasn't jpop, and I loved it so much more. From there.....like, all I listen to is either Kpop, Tokio Hotel, or La Oreja De Van Gogh (a band from Spain). That's about it.

This band has changed a lot since this time, which was considered their glory days. They've since split, and it got ugly with legal and business issues. It's a lost era for this group now, so it's nostalgic and slightly sad to watch this. It brings back memories of studying for this one class in the library, and me and my brother fangirling over this group.

In German Vogue magazine, and in what I guess is Korean Vogue, there is a recurring theme. Feathers!! As soon as I saw G-Dragon here....


I thought of Bill Kaulitz here!



If you want to be in Vogue, you must be comfortable with feathers in fashion, apparently. There's even another one with GD and a huge plume on his head, and a boa around his neck. More crazy photos of GD are here. I'm not sure I like GD's look in most of those photos. Bill is more toned down with his ridiculously extravagant hat, which is still pushing it for me.
