I was a total latecomer to FF7, but after Advent Children and Crisis Core, it was true love and a fandom I’ve lurked in for about 4(?) years now. And now, there’s you. And Lady Gaga. And Bad Romance Vincent, which is just perfection. And dancing Sephiroth. There can never be enough dancing Sephiroth.
All I can say is....*drops down to one knee* Just marry me, Zeph. I think we're freaking made for each other.
I loved those two videos. FF7 is the best. The other day, I was seriously, seriously trying to decide if I liked clouds better (like in the sky clouds) or Cloud better. And I couldn't decide.
This proposal is so sudden... YES! I accept! ;) It's like we're ~soulmates~ or something!
FF7 is incredible. I watched Advent Children for the pretty, only knowing that the hot, brooding blond was the good guy and the silver-haired dude was the baddie. I paused it partway through to go online and read ALL the back story and figure out the other characters. I'm still confused by some of the plot twists in the original game, but it's pretty incredible for a video game to have that kind of drama and story. And the compilation just gets better and better in some ways (ZACK).
It's perfectly normal to feel that way about clouds. Every time I put on my cloud flannel PJs in the winter, I pet them and think of Cloud. I doubt he would enjoy petting that much.

It was amazing to play, with such a deep and twisted storyline. It's enthralling. Back when I was 14-15 and playing it, I went to bed so many nights trying to figure the storyline out. It confused the heck out of me that Nibelheim was burned down, yet it wasn't. Later, I learned that Cloud had confused some of Zack's memories with his own.
I adore the compilation! The only one I didn't play was Dirge of Cerberus, which kills me because I love Vincent's storyline.
I think Cloud would enjoy petting. It might make him uncomfortable, though. But inside, he would like it. Have you heard of Kingdom Hearts and FFX? Those other two are my favorites too.
I would love to be a gamer, but I'm just not coordinated enough. I cheat and watch all the cutscenes on Youtube from the newer games. And I read almost all the script for FF7. I'm still confused about the whole Sephiroth clone thing and what parts of Seph were actually Seph. Eventually I just shrugged and gave up. Especially when some of the newer games changed little bits and pieces of the original.
I remember so well when Crisis Core was coming out and the first trailer hit the Internet. There were fangirl tears all around the world. And when the ending scenes with Zack and Cloud finally leaked, I cried like a baby. It was one thing to see it in pixels in FF7 but in the *gorgeous* animation CC used... I get choked up even now thinking of it.
(The first fanfic I ever wrote was about Zack and Angeal, but I never posted it to any of the LJ comms because there are some awesome writers in there. I'll have to see if I still have it around.)
Cloud is so broken and so weary. I just wanna hold him and baby him. And go for a ride on his motorcycle. :3
OMG, Kingdom Hearts! Again, I haven't play, but I got into it through the first one's soundtrack (of all things) and later they put out manga for the first two games (and tons of fanfic). I love that world, especially Sora and Goofy and Donald. What a bizarre combination that actually worked. But poor Cloud was even more confused and broken in that world! When I read about Birth By Sleep and saw the trailer, I cried again.
Square Enix knows how to hit all my emotional weak spots, I swear. I never cry that much!
I CRIED TOO OMG I was sobbing. I was playing it. I sobbed like the baby I am. I started crying long before it happened too, during the final battle scene; I knew it was coming. The final battle was brilliantly done. After all the fighting, after all that and escaping with Cloud, lame-o Shinra soldiers ganged up on Zack. And the limit breaks in the game... they involved people like Cloud and Aeris. Zack ran through all his limit breaks during that last battle, the memory of each person shattering. The last limit break was Aeris, I lost it.
Awww! I had this huge ff7 fic planned, a humor story about Jenova inviting all her spawn to a family reunion. There would be cupcakes and party hats, which Sephiroth wouldn't like. I wrote two chapters. I never posted it to fanfiction.net, though I dreamed of it.
I even wrote a song about FF7 with lyrics and everything! :B I'm really such a dork over Final Fantasy games.
I want to cuddle Cloud. I imagine he smells good and manly. Like machinery oil, and sweat, and hairgel. And love. The boy needs some love after all the crap he went through.
When I first saw KH I laughed at it. It then proceeded to OWN MY LIFE for the next three years. I haven't played all the compilation games of KH (they're kinda going nuts with it) but I want Birth By Sleep. I loved that the FF characters were all in it. The fanfiction about it was the best cuz of that, there were all sorts of pairings. It was like a buffet table, you could find whatever you wanted.
There's no way I could have played through that! I would have been doing the ugly-cry, and I know I would have stopped the game before the final battle. "There! They got away! There is only a happy ending! La-la-la, can't hear you!"
The limit break wheel-thing was a neat idea, I thought. All the cut-scenes were so beautiful, but at the end, when it ran out and each one shattered, oh God, I'm sitting here blubbering again just remembering it (and that was just from watching on Youtube, not playing). You would have been so much more emotionally invested! And poor Aeris, waiting all those years for her SOLDIER boy to come home. I gotta go read something fluffy quick or I'm going to be replaying Crisis Core videos all night and crying into my pillow.
I would love to read your Jenova humor fic. The indignity of Sephiroth wearing a party hat and blowing one of those noisemaker thingies -- that's comedy gold. And you wrote a song! That's not dorky, that's beautiful!
I agree that the idea of FF paired with Mickey Mouse and company made me O_o but it was so insane that it was brilliant. And again ripped my heart out at times. And like you said, the fanfic was great because no matter who you wanted to pair, there was a story for it. I think I'll go rummage through all my old FF and KH links tonight and read some. You've got me in the mood! ;P
Alas, that fic is on another computer... my old huge compaq presario. It's not even hooked up anymore. Today I had the desire to plug it in and look through it anyway. It's the window into my teen years.
