You know how sometimes you can unplug your headphone jack slightly and it removes the center, foreground sounds? You know, in a sound field.... the sounds in the center are usually the main vocals and effects. That's the foreground. And the other background effects are quieter and more "on the sides" and not in the center of the sound field? It's almost like those background sounds are "hidden" because they're simply not as prominent as the foreground sounds. There are secrets hiding in the background.
I did this with Tokio Hotel's Humanoid today. I discovered some neat things.

I wish I'd been a fan at this time. For a second there, it kinda hit me how many times they've performed Monsoon. Hundreds and hundreds of times at shows and rehearsals. That's a lot of running through the monsoon. I loved Bill's random kick after the second "Hey." ....And then you realize Bill owns that stage, poor raspy voiced singing dude.
Bill on that screen with the coloring effects is so incredibly beautiful. Like at 4:22, wow. Allow me a moment, I'm kinda getting weepy that Bill isn't pretty like this anymore. His features got harder, angular, hairier. LOL I loved energetic boy at 3:13. Whoo!

I admire remixes that give the song a new flavor, that are a unique take on the song. Since I want to hear remixes like that, I also demand such a standard from myself when I make a remix. (I despise remixes where people just overlap a drum loop over the original song, pitch it higher and leave it at that, and mess with the pan. I heard a remix of monsoon once in which the audio panned from left to right ear extremely fast, and it inspired instant rage in me. Cannot compute. My auditory lobe was like "GRR CAPSLOCK RAGE MAKE IT STOP.")
So anyway, my remixes. This one is my masterpiece. I'm playing the piano, and I added every instrument with love and affection~ People love it. Someone said it sounds like Ludovico Einaudi, which is the best compliment I have ever received in my life. Ever.
This one started as a joke. Whether or not it is still laugh-worthy is up to your judgement. (I like it.) Here's the youtube link, soundcloud player below.

I have a Humanoid remix sitting there on my hardrive. It's awful. I tried to take an orchestral approach but it refuses to comply. I can also play Zoom Into Me, play and sing. I could replace the twins and get paid less to do both their jobs at once. But, I'm not as nice to look at!
So anyway, my remixes. This one is my masterpiece. I'm playing the piano, and I added every instrument with love and affection~ People love it. Someone said it sounds like Ludovico Einaudi, which is the best compliment I have ever received in my life. Ever.

Bill is ethereal in 1000 Meere. And that kid is so lucky to sing with Bill. At the end, Bill's singing right at that kid. Head on. It's intense enough when Bill sings right at the camera, eye fucking it, but I wonder what it's like to have him sing at you in person. I think I'd be knocked back by rockstar waves of awesome and pretty. Dang.

Colby21 got some truly amazing footage, clear audio and video! Stellar performances of pain of love, noise, darkside of the sun, and dogs unleashed. WOW. I hope to high heavens that TH will lug all that stuff overseas for when they tour in the US, but I really really doubt they will. Here it will just be simple shows.

Listen to the boos in the crowd when they start. Then listen when it's all over--roaring applause and screaming. This performance is legendary. It was the turning point where they started to gain respect as a band and not a teen sensation. The awesomeness level skyrockets when it starts to rain on them.
